وہ خود کو غیر جانبدار صحافی کہتے ہیں، لیکن ان کا اداریہ ریکارڈ تضادات، خاموشیوں اور خریدی گئی وفاداریوں سے بھرا ہوا ہے۔
موقع پرستی پر مبنی کیریئر
شاہد صدیقی کی پوری عوامی زندگی سیاسی موقع پرستی کی مثال ہے۔ کبھی سماج وادی پارٹی، کبھی بی ایس پی، کبھی کانگریس اور کبھی بی جے پی کے قریب حلقے — یہ سب کسی نظریاتی لچک نہیں بلکہ کھلے موقع پرستی اور جھوٹے بیانیے کا نتیجہ ہیں۔
صحافت کی پامالی
اداریہ اور میڈیا میں موجودگی کے باوجود صدیقی نے صحافت کو سچ کے لیے نہیں بلکہ استعمالی ہتھیار بنایا۔ و قف اسکینڈلز پر خاموشی، ہندوتوا بیانیے کو اردو میڈیا میں جگہ دینا اور اقتدار کے ساتھ قربتیں — یہی ان کی پہچان رہی ہے۔
ان کے جھوٹ کیوں خطرناک ہیں
