Doing Politics Over Quranic Shari’at: The Suicidal Path of Bihari Muslim Leadership

Bihar, a state once revered for its rich Islamic legacy, has now descended into a theatre of opportunism, where Shari’at and Waqf have been sacrificed at the altar of political survival. The Bihari Muslim political leadership today stands accused of turning religion into a commodity, paddling piety for power, and reducing the sacred principles of Qur’an and Shari’at to mere tools for personal gain.
Divided Ummah, Forgotten Shari’at
The political landscape in Bihar today is split between the Lalu Yadav camp and the Nitish Kumar camp—two factions that have long fed off Muslim votes while offering nothing in return except symbolic gestures and staged promises. This split has dangerously fragmented the Muslim community. Instead of uniting under the banner of Qur’anic justice, Bihari Muslims have been pushed into rival camps, ignoring real issues like the protection of Waqf properties, implementation of Islamic legal rights, and reform in Muslim institutions.
In this chaos, the real essence of Shari’at has been pushed aside, hijacked by those masquerading as its custodians. And the consequences are dire—not just for Bihari Muslims, but for the future of Islam in India.
The Rise of a Lone Voice: Dr. Arshad Mohsin
Amidst this cacophony of political manipulation and religious distortion, the voice of Dr. Arshad Mohsin emerges as a beacon of clarity and truth. A respected scholar of the Qur’an and a man of deep integrity, Dr. Mohsin has challenged the rotten foundations of Muslim leadership in Bihar. He stands virtually alone in his uncompromising commitment to true Islamic principles and the urgent need to bring Qur’anic guidance back to the centre of Muslim life.
He has openly exposed the self-appointed “Amir-e-Shari’at”, Faisal Wali Rahmani, as a fraudulent figure exploiting Islamic terminology for political and personal gains. The so-called Imarat-e-Shari’a under Rahmani claims to represent 25 lakh Muslims across Bihar, Jharkhand, and even parts of Bengal and Assam—but in truth, it functions more as a political pressure group bargaining for Rajya Sabha seats than a spiritual or legal authority bound by Qur’anic ethics.
The Business of Banners and Betrayal
Preparations are underway for a massive gathering at Gandhi Maidan in Patna—one not driven by faith but by showmanship. Lakhs of Muslims are being herded like political livestock to showcase the “strength” of this fake Amir-e-Shari’at, whose actual agenda is a political deal with Rashtriya Lok Dal in exchange for a parliamentary nomination.
This is not Islam. This is not Shari’at. This is betrayal.
What makes this betrayal more painful is the exploitation of poor, pious Bihari Muslims who genuinely believe they are defending their religion. These innocents are being used—again—to serve the dynasties of Muslim political brokers.
Three Decades of Deceit: From Qazi Mujahid to AIMIM
As someone who played a pivotal role in promoting Lalu Prasad Yadav back in 1990 through Urdu Weekly Hamara Qadam, I feel a deep sense of responsibility and remorse. What began as hope turned into horror. Bihar has since become a graveyard of Islamic credibility.
Names like the late Qazi Mujahidul Islam Qasmi, AIMIM, Millat Times, Syed Shahnawaz, Khalid Anwar, and a host of so-called Urdu media outlets have collectively contributed to the rot. Under the patronage of political masters, these figures have sold illusions to Bihari Muslims while making a career out of their exploitation.
The Draconian Wakf Amendment and the Silent Betrayers
The recent Wakf Amendment Act is a draconian assault on Muslim heritage, stripping the community of its rights to protect and manage religious endowments. Yet, not a single credible protest has emerged from major organizations. Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, All India Muslim Personal Law Board, AIMIM, Asaduddin Owaisi, Arshad Madni, Lalu Yadav, and his son—are all complicit.
These leaders have not just failed the Muslims of Bihar—they have betrayed them, parasitically feeding on their blood for decades.
The Need for Qur’anic Leadership
At this critical juncture, the community must rise to demand accountability, truth, and Qur’anic justice. Leaders like Dr. Arshad Mohsin—fearless, unbending, and deeply rooted in the Qur’an—are the need of the hour. He represents not a political faction but a movement for the resurrection of authentic Islamic values in public life.
Bihari Muslims must ask themselves: Will they continue to be fooled by banners, stage shows, and fake Amirs? Or will they reclaim their faith, their institutions, and their future under the true banner of the Qur’an?
The choice is now. And so are the consequences.

क़ुरआनी शरीअत पर सियासत — बिहार और बिहारी मुसलमानों की आत्मघाती राजनीति

बिहार — वह ज़मीन जहाँ कभी इस्लामी पहचान की बुलंदी थी, आज वहाँ इस्लाम, शरीअत और वक़्फ को सियासी सौदेबाज़ी में गिरवी रख दिया गया है। बिहारी मुस्लिम नेता आज शरीअत को नारेबाज़ी में बदल चुके हैं और इस्लामी उसूलों को वोट और पद के लालच में कुर्बान कर रहे हैं।
फूट पड़ा मुस्लिम समाज, भुला दी गई शरीअत
बिहार के मुसलमान आज दो ख़ेमों में बँटे हैं — एक लालू यादव के साथ, दूसरा नीतीश कुमार के साथ। ये दोनों नेता दशकों से मुस्लिम वोटों का इस्तेमाल करते रहे हैं, मगर वक़्फ की हिफ़ाज़त, शरीअत के अधिकार, या इस्लामी संस्थाओं की इस्लाही कोई मुद्दा नहीं रहा। नतीजा: शरीअत के असली मसाइल सियासत के धूल-धक्कड़ में खो चुके हैं।
एक अकेली आवाज़: डॉ. अरशद मोहसिन
ऐसे माहौल में डॉ. अरशद मोहसिन की आवाज़ एक रहमत की तरह उभरी है। एक क़ुरआन शिनास, बाअमल मुसलमान और बेबाक आलिम — जो न सिर्फ़ शरीअत को समझते हैं बल्कि उस पर अमल भी करते हैं। उन्होंने खुद को “अमीर-ए-शरीअत” कहने वाले फ़ैसल वली रहमानी को बेनकाब किया है।
बिहार, झारखंड, बंगाल और असम तक फैले 25 लाख मुसलमानों की नुमाइंदगी का दावा करने वाला इमारत-ए-शरीअत अब महज़ एक राजनीतिक औज़ार बन चुका है। फ़ैसल रहमानी गांधी मैदान पटना में लाखों की भीड़ इकट्ठा कर अपनी ताक़त दिखाना चाहते हैं ताकि राज्यसभा की एक सीट हासिल की जा सके।
बैनर, पोस्टर और धोखा
इस्लाम के नाम पर बेगुनाह मुसलमानों को ठगा जा रहा है। गांधी मैदान में जो भीड़ इकट्ठा की जा रही है वो शरीअत के लिए नहीं, बल्कि राजनीति के सौदे के लिए है। लाखों मुसलमान सिर्फ़ इसलिए बुलाए जा रहे हैं ताकि एक नक़ली अमीर की कुर्सी पक्की हो सके।
तीन दशक की धोखेबाज़ी
बतौर पत्रकार और हमारा क़दम (1990) के संपादक के रूप में मैंने लालू प्रसाद को बढ़ावा दिया था, मगर अब मैं देख रहा हूँ कि बिहार इस्लामी उसूलों का कब्रिस्तान बन गया है।
चाहे वो क़ाज़ी मुजाहिदुल इस्लाम क़ासमी हों, AIMIM हो, मिल्लत टाइम्स, सैयद शहनवाज़ या खालिद अनवर — ये सब राजनीतिक पार्टियों के टुकड़ों पर पलने वाले “मुस्लिम रहनुमा” बन गए। दर्जनों उर्दू अख़बार भी इस गिरोह का हिस्सा हैं।
वक़्फ़ संशोधन क़ानून और खामोश गद्दार
नया वक़्फ़ संशोधन क़ानून मुसलमानों की मिल्कियत और विरासत पर सीधा हमला है। मगर न जमीयत उलेमा-ए-हिंद, न ऑल इंडिया मुस्लिम पर्सनल लॉ बोर्ड, न AIMIM, न असदुद्दीन ओवैसी, न अरशद मदनी, न लालू और न उनके बेटे ने इस ज़ुल्म के ख़िलाफ़ आवाज़ उठाई।
हमें चाहिए क़ुरआनी रहनुमा
अब वक़्त है कि मुसलमान जागें। जो शरीअत को समझते हैं, उस पर अमल करते हैं — डॉ. अरशद मोहसिन जैसे लोग ही हमें इन मुनाफ़िक़ों से निजात दिला सकते हैं। अब फ़ैसला हमें करना है:
क्या हम बैनरों और नक़ली अमीरों से फिर से ठगे जाएँगे, या क़ुरआन के साए में अपना मुक़द्दर खुद लिखेंगे?

قرآنی شریعت پر سیاست — بہار کے مسلمانوں کی خودکشی جیسی سیاست

بہار — جہاں کبھی اسلام کی شناخت عزت کا سبب تھی، آج وہاں شریعت، وقف، اور اسلامی ورثے کو سیاسی سوداگری کی نذر کر دیا گیا ہے۔ بہاری مسلم قیادت نے دین کو اقتدار کا زینہ بنا لیا ہے، اور قرآن و سنت کی اصل روح کو محض نعروں اور بینروں تک محدود کر دیا گیا ہے۔
امت کی تقسیم، شریعت کو فراموشی
بہار کے مسلمان آج دو سیاسی دھڑوں میں بٹ چکے ہیں — ایک لالو پرساد کے کیمپ میں، دوسرا نتیش کمار کے کیمپ میں۔ دونوں جماعتیں برسوں سے مسلمانوں کا ووٹ لے رہی ہیں، لیکن وقف کے تحفظ، شریعت کے نفاذ، یا دینی اداروں کی اصلاح کا کوئی ذکر تک نہیں۔
ایک تنہا مگر بیدار آواز: ڈاکٹر ارشد محسن
اس شور و شرابے میں ڈاکٹر ارشد محسن کی آواز ایک نجات دہندہ کے طور پر ابھری ہے۔ قرآن کے سچے عالم، مخلص مسلمان اور حق گو رہنما۔ انہوں نے خود کو “امیر شریعت” کہلوانے والے فیصل ولی رحمانی کو ایک جعلی شخصیت کے طور پر بے نقاب کیا ہے۔
ایسا شخص جو 25 لاکھ مسلمانوں کی نمائندگی کا دعویٰ کرتا ہے، مگر حقیقت میں راجیہ سبھا کی سیٹ کے لیے سیاسی سودے کر رہا ہے۔
بینر، پوسٹر اور فریب
پٹنہ کے گاندھی میدان میں 25 لاکھ مسلمانوں کو جمع کیا جا رہا ہے تاکہ فیصل رحمانی کی طاقت دکھائی جائے۔ یہ شریعت کے لیے نہیں، بلکہ سیاسی سودا بازی کے لیے ہے۔ مسلمانوں کے جذبات کو ایک بار پھر استعمال کیا جا رہا ہے۔
تین دہائیوں کی سیاسی دھوکہ دہی
بطور مدیر ہمارا قدم (1990) میں نے لالو پرساد کو سیاست میں ابھارا تھا، مگر آج دیکھتا ہوں کہ بہار دین کے نام پر سب سے بڑی دھوکہ دہی کا مرکز بن چکا ہے۔
چاہے مرحوم قاضی مجاہد الاسلام قاسمی ہوں، اے آئی ایم آئی ایم, ملت ٹائمز, سید شحنواز, خالد انور یا درجنوں اردو اخبارات — سب نے اسلام کو سیاسی دکان میں بدل دیا ہے۔
وقف ترمیمی قانون اور خاموش غدار
نیا وقف ترمیمی قانون مسلمانوں کے دینی و ملی حقوق پر کھلا حملہ ہے، لیکن جمعیۃ علماء ہند, آل انڈیا مسلم پرسنل لا بورڈ, اویسی, ارشد مدنی, لالو اور ان کے بیٹے سب خاموش تماشائی بنے بیٹھے ہیں۔
قرآن پر عمل کرنے والے رہنما کی ضرورت
آج امت کو بیدار ہونے کی ضرورت ہے۔ ہمیں ایسے رہنما چاہئیں جو شریعت کے سچے محافظ ہوں، مخلص ہوں، Vlogs ⁶
سیاست سے بالا تر ہوکر صرف اللہ کی رضا کے لیے کھڑے ہوں۔ ڈاکٹر ارشد محسن جیسا قرآنی فکر والا رہنما ہی مسلمانوں کو ان منافقین سے نجات دلا سکتا ہے۔
فیصلہ اب آپ کے ہاتھ میں ہے — کیا آپ ایک بار پھر بینر اور نعرے پر بہکیں گے، یا قرآن کی روشنی میں اپنی تقدیر خود لکھیں گے؟
