POLICE COMPLAINT

**To**
The Hon’ble Home Minister of India, Shri Amit Shah
The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi
The Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh
The Police Commissioner, Noida

**Subject:** Complaint Regarding Continuous Harassment and Threatening Calls Following Investigative Article Publication

Respected Sir(s),

I, **Ahmed Sohail Siddiqui**, a senior journalist and editor based in Greater Noida, operate a journalistic platform at [www.HudaTaha.com](https://hudataha.com). I regularly publish critical and investigative articles on issues concerning Indian Muslims, politics, and the misuse of religion by various political players.

On **[ 5th April 2025]**, I published an article titled:
**“Arif Mohammad Khan: The Long Betrayal of Indian Muslims in the Name of Islam”**
Link: [https://hudataha.com/arif-mohammad-khan-the-long-betrayal-of-indian-muslims-in-the-name-of-islam-by-ahmed-sohail-siddiqui/](https://hudataha.com/arif-mohammad-khan-the-long-betrayal-of-indian-muslims-in-the-name-of-islam-by-ahmed-sohail-siddiqui/)

Since then, for the past **Five days**, I have been receiving **hundreds of blank and abusive calls** on my mobile number **8527022786** from **different phone numbers across India**. The nature of these calls has severely disturbed my ability to work and caused immense mental stress. The frequency of these calls is alarming, and they continue even as I write this complaint.

Additionally, I have been writing investigative pieces exposing **Asaduddin Owaisi**, & the BJP link & Congress patronizing him **All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB)**, and their alleged silent support to state-sponsored Hindutva narratives, particularly in the context of the controversial **Waqf Bill 2024**. My articles are equally critical of **BJP**, **Congress**, and political opportunism under the garb of secularism and nationalism.

I **do not know the identity** of those behind this harassment. However, I have the **list of phone numbers** in my mobile from which these calls have originated. I sincerely urge the Noida Police and UP DGP to **trace and identify the callers**, and take immediate action under relevant sections of the law to ensure my safety and freedom to continue my journalistic duties.

I seek justice and protection from the Hon’ble Prime Minister, the Home Minister, and law enforcement agencies of Uttar Pradesh. I fear my life is under threat & ask the hon’ble PM & HM to provide protection.

**Yours sincerely,**
**Ahmed Sohail Siddiqui**

ARTICLE FOR PUBLICATION + PRESS RELEASE

Title: Journalist Harassed After Exposing Arif Mohammad Khan: An Assault on Press Freedom

In what appears to be a coordinated attempt to silence independent journalism, senior journalist and editor of *HudaTaha.com*, Ahmed Sohail Siddiqui, is facing a barrage of blank and abusive calls since the publication of his recent article: *“Arif Mohammad Khan: The Long Betrayal of Indian Muslims in the Name of Islam.”*

The article, a bold critique of Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan’s political journey and his role in misleading Indian Muslims under the guise of Islamic reform, struck a chord with readers—and apparently, with unseen power groups. Within hours of its publication, Siddiqui began receiving hundreds of blank calls from untraceable numbers, many of them abusive. This harassment has continued unabated for the last six days.

“I have stopped picking up my phone. These calls are affecting my ability to work, think, and write. It feels like a well-orchestrated attempt to mentally torture and intimidate me,” said Siddiqui.

His recent writings have also exposed the AIMPLB, Asaduddin Owaisi, and the controversial Waqf Bill 2024, alleging that these entities act more like state-controlled proxies than representatives of Muslim interests. He has been equally critical of BJP and Congress, bringing uncomfortable truths to light that both sides seem eager to suppress.

This disturbing episode raises pressing questions about **press freedom**, **digital surveillance**, and **the safety of independent voices** in India’s democratic framework.

A formal police complaint has been sent to the Prime Minister, Home Minister, DGP Uttar Pradesh, and the Noida Police Commissioner, with a request to trace the origin of these calls and bring the perpetrators to justice.

If the Indian press cannot speak the truth without fear, what does that say about the state of democracy in the world’s largest republic?
